During the first quarter of 2013, AviancaTaca Holdings reported operating income of USD$ 1.11 billion. This is equivalent to an increase of 6.0% with respect to the same period of 2012. KLM to add two more 777s

KLM is to take delivery of two Boeing 777-300ERs in spring 2015, one from Boeing and another from Air Lease, taking its total 777-300ER fleet to 10 aircraft. It has also extended leases on three 737-800s and one 777-200ER that are already operating in KLM’s fleet. Croatia Airlines faces bankruptcy if restructuring fails

Transaero 2012 net profit down 51%

Russia’s Transaero Airline reported 2012 full-year net profit RUB902 million ($28.7 million), down 51% compared to the year-ago period. Transaero said the results were due to the significant increase in fuel prices, social payments and taxes. Revenue rose 13% to RUB97.6 billion and traffic revenue increased 35% to RUB90.3 billion year-over-year. Revenue from asset transactions lowered 64% to RUB 6.8 billion. LATAM Airlines Q1 profit
