Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) has received a won (W) 1.1 trillion ($1 billion) order for FA-50 fighter aircraft. KAI declined to state the number of aircraft covered under the contract with Seoul’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration. “It’s a military secret,” said a KAI spokesman. May 2, 2013 by feryomaha

Flying displays by the Sukhoi Su-35 in its overseas debut and the back-in-service Boeing 787 will be among the highlights at this year’s Paris air show. Boeing and Qatar Airways are expected to bring examples of the Dreamliner to the 50th edition of the biennial industry spectacular, say organisers. However, the show will not feature the Airbus A350 and Bombardier CSeries, even though both types are due to make their flying debut around that time. The Lockheed Martin F-35 will […]

April 8, 2013 by feryomaha

Boeing is unveiling an updated version of its F/A-XX sixth-generation fighter concept at the Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space Exposition in Washington DC this week. The tail-less twin-engine stealth fighter design comes in “manned and unmanned options as possibilities per the US Navy,” Boeing says. The design features diverterless supersonic inlets reminiscent of those found on the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
