KLM to add two more 777s

KLM is to take delivery of two Boeing 777-300ERs in spring 2015, one from Boeing and another from Air Lease, taking its total 777-300ER fleet to 10 aircraft. It has also extended leases on three 737-800s and one 777-200ER that are already operating in KLM’s fleet. Turkish Airlines finalizes 737 MAX and 737NG order

Boeing and Turkish Airlines today finalized a firm order for 40 737 MAX 8s, 10 737 MAX 9s and 20 Next-Generation 737-800 jets, valued at $6.9 billion at list prices. Boeing increases 787 production rate

Air New Zealand said production of its first of 10 Boeing 787-9 aircraft is three weeks ahead of schedule at Boeing’s Everett factory in Seattle, Wash. Austrian Airlines to add fifth 777 to its fleet

Lufthansa subsidiary Austrian Airlines Group will add a fifth Boeing 777-200ER to its fleet from summer 2014. The aircraft, which has a €33 million ($43.2 million) market value, will be an eight-year lease from an unidentified international leasing company. WestJet to buy 10 Boeing 737-800s

Calgary-based airline WestJet on Tuesday announced an agreement with the Boeing Co. for the purchase of 10 737-800 aircraft in 2014 and 2015. That deal would be worth about $891 million at list prices. According to the Canadian Press, the carrier also announced as part of its first-quarter earnings report that it will defer delivery of five 737-700s from 2014 and 2015 to 2016 and 2017.
